2026 Rib Fest

The STARS Club’s Rib Cook-Off is now Rib Fest! Based on feedback from prior participants, we’re changing the structure to be a little less demanding for the chefs with more options for participants eating.

Think you have the best ribs around? Here’s your chance to prove it!

The STARS Club is excited to host Rib Fest on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the RomeRock Association Clubhouse. Whether you’re a seasoned pitmaster or simply enjoy cooking for family and friends, we invite you to join the competition and let the community decide who serves the best ribs in Roaming Shores

Chef Registration Details

Registration Deadline: Tuesday, July 28Entry Fee: $35 (includes one dinner ticket)Limited to 15 chefs/teams People’s Choice Voting will determine this year’s champion. The winning chef will receive a prize and earn a permanent spot on the STARS Club Rib Fest Winners Plaque. To make participation as easy as possible, the STARS Club will provide five slabs of ribs to each registered chef. Ribs can be picked up on Wednesday, August 26, or Thursday, August 27, giving competitors plenty of time to prepare their entries. All ribs must be cooked off-site and ready to serve in the Clubhouse by 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 29. You may finish off your ribs at the Clubhouse area using any of the grills that are open or using your own cooker. Bring your own fuel. Each chef will have a serving station, and attendees will exchange tasting tickets for individual rib bones as they sample the competition. Chefs are responsible for providing their own seasonings, sauces, grills, smokers, utensils, and cooking supplies. The STARS Club will provide warming trays, aluminum foil, and paper towels. Completed forms and payment may be dropped off at the office or submitted electronically to roamingshoresstarsclub@gmail.com. We encourage interested chefs to register early, as participation is limited to 15 entries and we already have 8 interested chefs/teams!

Eating Participant Info

Tickets for this event will go on sale once the chefs are secured. Your dinner ticket will get you 6 rib tastings, sides, and N/A drinks. BYOB. The number of dinner tickets available will depend on the number of chefs participating. Stay tuned!

Fireworks Donations

The fireworks display is organized by the STARS Club and is funded through donations and fundraising efforts. If you enjoy the fireworks, please consider donating to help make this year’s anniversary show bigger and better than ever!

How to Donate to the Fireworks Fund

Any contribution to the STARS Club directly supports the fireworks display.

Donations may be:
-Dropped off at the RRA Office
-Included with your Dues and Assessments payment (please use a separate check)
-Checks should be made payable to STARS Club
