HISTORIC RT 6 PRESENTATION

Join the STARS Club on Saturday, October 14th at 2pm as they welcome RRA Member Gary Hunter of the U.S. Route 6 Tour Association. Come learn the interesting history of Historic U.S. Route 6, the oldest, longest and highest of the old roads. The historic Highway is 3,652 miles long, with a high point of 11,990 feet. It runs from the waterfront in Long Beach, California through 14 states to the waterfront at Provincetown, Massachusetts which is located at the tip of Cape Cod. Gary will tell you about the great places to visit and things to do when exploring the Grand Old Highway.

This is a free event. Light refreshments will be provided.

Pre-sale tickets for the Masterbuilt smoker are on sale now at the RRA office (off Rt.6). They are $5 each cash and venmo accepted.

You do not need to be present to win. Winner will be announced during the band’s 1st break Saturday night.

CHINESE AUCTION-50/50-SMOKER RAFFLE

It is going to be big this year!!!!! Please be aware that for the Chinese auction, 50/50 and the smoker raffle we can accept cash or venmo only.

Smoker raffle tickets are $5 each. Sales start at 2pm. Winner will be announced during the bands 1st break.

Chinese auction and 50/50 will be 6 for $5 or arms length for $20. Sales are from 2pm-5pm. We will start announcing winners shortly after 5 so we can finished before the band starts

Don’t forget that you do not need to have ticket to the rib cook-off to participate in the above activities. We moved them outside this year so more people could participate 😊

You do not need to be present to win! We will take your name and phone number when you purchase so you don’t miss out.

We also do have some dinner tickets left if anyone still needs them!

The time has finally come tickets are on sale for the 5th annual rib cook-off Saturday September 2nd at 4pm!!!

Ticket sales are in person only. Please do not Facebook or email us to purchase tickets. If you have questions however please reach out and we will be happy to assist 😊

Tickets can be purchased at the RRA office (on rt 6) M-F 9am-5pm and Sat. 9am-noon. We will also have club member Laurie Shultz at the concert tonight from 6-8pm. She will be selling tickets in the pavilion behind the restrooms.

Based off of previous years we are expecting to sell out. If you cannot make it to the clubhouse tonight between 6 and 8pm club member Bree Bodisch will have extra tickets available starting Saturday morning. Bree will have a limited amount to accommodate anyone not available to come tonight or during office hours so we recommend trying to make it to the concert or the office if you can.

Cash or Venmo will be accepted. Dinner tickets are $30 each and will include 1 bone from each team, sides, n/a beverages and desserts.

Ticket sales tomorrow

Ticket sales go live tomorrow 8/17 for the rib cook-off. Please keep in mind we sell 85 dinner tickets and they are first come first serve so don’t miss out!

If you are a cook team your registration comes with 2 dinner tickets. If you need additional dinner tickets they do need to be purchased separately.

If you are unable to attend the event or if tickets sell out don’t forget that the Chinese auction and smoker raffle with be open to anyone on the property! This way no one misses out on all the fun!

RIB COOK-OFF UPDATE

So far, 5 teams have officially signed up to participate in this year’s STARS Rib Cook-Off and we’re waiting to hear back on a couple maybes! We could use a couple more teams in order to move forward with the event! Your entry includes 2 free dinner tickets for the cook-off, the ribs needed to compete, and a shot at winning the coveted spot on the plaque, winner’s apron, yard sign and of course, bragging rights!

Regarding Dinner Tickets:

If enough teams can be secured, we will begin dinner ticket sales tentatively on Friday of this week! Tickets will be available from STARS members and at the RRA office.
