
Who can make the best ribs in the Shores? Get your family and friends together and find out! On Saturday August 31st @ 4pm the STARS club will be hosting our 6th annual Rib Cook-off at the clubhouse!
This event will be limited to 8 teams. The winning Team will win a prize and will be added to our winner’s plaque that was donated to the club by John and Mary Lou Watt.
The winner will be decided by the People’s Choice vote only this year
Tickets for dinners are $30 each. Includes 1 bone from each team, sides and non-alcoholic beverages.
Door prizes will be drawn throughout the event using your dinner ticket number
*The fan favorite basket auction will be back this year! The basket auction will be located under the pavilion behind the restrooms instead of inside. It will also be open to EVERYONE PRESENT ON THE PROPERTY AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT! Yes that is correct. If you couldn’t get a tickets to the cookoff you can still participate in the Chinese auction! We are very excited for it this year.
*We will have another raffle item this year!!! Separate raffle tickets (separate from basket auction tickets) will also be sold. These tickets will also be available pre-sale so you can purchase your dinner tickets and raffle tickets at the same time! What is so exciting about a new raffle? The item of course! Who wouldn’t want to win HALF A PIG!!! You read that right! A special shoutout to Fleming Lawn Care for their generous donation to make this possible!

COOK INFO:
-8 team limit
-Ribs will be provided by the STARS Club
-Team sign-up by August 25th
-Team entry $50 (includes 2 dinner tickets. If you have additional team members there is no fee to be on the team but they will need to purchase additional dinner tickets if they plan to eat )
-Pick up ribs on Thursday August 29th at the clubhouse 9am – noon
-Each team will receive 9 slabs
-Each team must be ready to serve ribs by 4pm (please arrive early for set up and instruction)
-Warming trays will be provided at the Clubhouse
COOKING RULES:
Ribs will be provided by the STARS Club. Prep ribs off-site.
Each team must supply their own ingredients, tools, and any other materials needed including tongs for serving. Ribs can be cooked in the Clubhouse area using your own grill/smoker or the grills located in the Clubhouse area if available.
EATING PARTICIPANTS:
Tickets for dinners are $30 each. Each dinner ticket includes 1 bone from each team, sides and non-alcoholic beverages.
